FIVE Season Finale with Playoff Focus

(Greater Sudbury, ON) – The Sudbury FIVE will wrap up their regular season campaign this Saturday, March 29th, hosting the Logansport Iron Horses at the Sudbury Arena. Tip-off is set for 7:00 PM, with the game proudly sponsored by Lively Golf Club.

Entering the final week of the season with a strong 19-9 record (.679 winning percentage), the FIVE are currently sitting in second place in the standings. With just two games remaining, Sudbury is locked in a tight battle with the Windsor Express and KW Titans for the top two seeds, which would earn them a coveted playoff bye.

Ja’myrin Jackson, who made his return to the court this past Saturday, continues to lead the charge for the FIVE. His dominant performances over the weekend, which included a 30-point and a 20-point effort, have kept him at the top of the league’s scoring leaderboard with an average of 22.9 points per game. Meanwhile, sharpshooter Charlie Marquardt has been a standout from beyond the arc, entering the final week with a league-leading 45.8% three-point shooting percentage.

Thursday night will see the FIVE hit the road for a pivotal matchup against the KW Titans, a game that carries significant playoff implications. A win in Kitchener would secure Sudbury a first-round playoff bye, solidifying their standing as one of the top teams in the Basketball Super League.
